MEDIA

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms has been given through different media -- novels, animations, dramas, movies, and many of them are really attractive and impressive.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms -- a novel

Author: Lo Kuan-Chung Translator: C. H. Brewitt-taylor
Publisher: Charles E. Tuttle Co., Inc
Published in 1990

A novel by Lo Kuan-Chung English-translated. A thick volume. I recognize I need not comment on the content, because it is the very bible of the dramatic story.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms -- a puppet drama

Televised in Japan, 1982 - 1983

This TV show is really memorable for me, because it led me to have been possess by the Romance. Puppets are the craft of a world-wide famous puppet-artist Kihachiroh Kawamoto. The delicate work and vivid action on puppets were great.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms in Various Situations -- a photograph collection & CD-ROM version

Author: Kihachiroh Kawamoto
Publisher: The Anidou Film
Published in 1984 for Photograph collection and in 1997 for the CD-ROM version
A photograph collection of the puppet show which I mentioned above and the CD-ROM version. Each photograph is shown very beautiful, puppets' souls inspired in it. The CD-ROM version gives some pleasant elements, labyrinth puzzles and a virtual studio. Both are treasures for me.
